Malaysia Equine Assisted Leadership (MEAL) Programme
A hands-on leadership programme where you work alongside horses, not in a classroom. You see how your behaviour, emotions and intent land with others, and you leave with a clearer picture of the leader you actually are.
Why horses?
Horses don't judge. They respond to your behaviour, emotions and intent.
They reveal the difference between how you think you lead and how others experience your leadership.
That feedback is immediate and honest. You can't talk your way through it, so what you learn comes from what you did, not what you were told.

Arena safety
Safety and horse welfare come first
All activities are ground-based. Participants do not ride the horse.
- Follow Coach Baihaqi's briefing and instructions at all times.
- Approach, touch or handle a horse only when invited to do so.
- Move calmly. Avoid sudden movements, loud noises and standing directly behind a horse.
- Wear closed, secure footwear and suitable clothing for the arena.
- Do not feed the horse or use force, punishment or aggressive gestures.
- Tell the facilitator immediately about fear, discomfort, injury or a medical concern.
- Maintain awareness of the horse, other participants, ropes, cones and obstacles.
- If the facilitator says "STOP", stop moving and wait for the next instruction.
- The facilitator may adapt or stop an activity to protect people and horses.
Your responsibility
Safety is shared. If you notice a risk, say "STOP" clearly. Raising a safety concern is responsible leadership.
Personal check before entering the arena
Experience real leadership through real connection
Participants complete a short leadership reflection before and after the programme. Comparing the two shows how your leadership has shifted.
